Anesthesia
Our team assesses your overall health, medications, age, weight, anxiety levels, and your preferences to determine the best sedation approach for you. For instance, nitrous oxide might suffice for a minor extraction, while IV sedation may be more appropriate for procedures like the removal of impacted teeth. We provide local anesthesia for targeted pain relief and general anesthesia for more extensive treatments. Drs. Tyko and Rogers are happy to discuss your anesthetic options and develop a plan that works for you.
Nitrous Oxide and Oral Sedation
We offer nitrous oxide sedation delivered through a mask, helping you achieve a calm and relaxed state. The effects wear off quickly, often allowing you to drive yourself home. For a deeper relaxation state, we can provide additional sedation by prescribing a pill or dispensing a liquid medication taken before the procedure. These method requires someone to accompany you home, as its effects can last longer.
IV Sedation
Intravenous (IV) sedation is the deepest form of sedation we offer, helping you achieve a profound sense of calm with minimal to no memory of the procedure. Throughout your treatment, we will carefully monitor your vital signs to ensure your safety. Because the effects of IV sedation can take time to wear off, you must arrange for someone to accompany you and drive you home afterward.
